A buttery soft leather-alternative made from banana fibers as a by-product of agriculture. It results in a 95% reduction in water use, over a 90% reduction in carbon emissions, and 100% reduction in toxic waste compared to traditional leather, all while upcycling crop waste.

Shoe Story

Finalizing the Design

In our world, the heel is the heart of the shoe. The shoe design is architected around the vision we have for it's signature heel. Our heels are made from teak wood and stainless steel, they are hand built.

Full Shoe Operations

Our pattern designer drafts the patterns and our cutting expert shapes the textile to bring the vision to life. The carefully and skilfully cut textile is sent to a tailor who assembles the components together.

Sole & Heel Attachments

The tailored upper becomes a 3D shoe in the "shoe closing process," where technician mounts it on the last and uses mechanical techniques to achieve the final finish.

Final

The final act is the attachment of the rubber sole and the heel. And there we have it - the perfectly handcrafted Disobedience shoe.
